SEN Teaching Assistant – 1:1 Support – Stonebridge
Location: Stonebridge, NW London
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £97 – £100 Daily PAYE
We are currently seeking a caring, patient and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a mainstream primary school in Stonebridge, supporting a Year 3 boy with high special educational needs on a 1:1 basis.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children with additional needs and helping them access learning in a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment.
The Role:
- Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a Year 3 pupil with high SEN needs.
- Support learning, engagement and participation in classroom activities.
- Assist with personal care, including nappy changing and toileting.
- Promote the pupil’s independence, comfort and well-being.
- Support emotional regulation and respond to individual needs with patience and understanding.
- Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider school team to provide consistent support.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Has previous experience working with children with SEN.
- Is confident and comfortable providing personal care, including nappy changing.
- Is patient, nurturing, reliable and adaptable.
- Has strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Is committed to supporting the pupil’s development, dignity and individual needs.
Requirements:
- Relevant experience supporting children with additional needs is desirable.
- An enhanced DBS check, or willingness to obtain one.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
