Ortus Recruitment is working with a welcoming primary school in Brentford to recruit a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional learning needs.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about helping children develop academically, socially and emotionally in a supportive primary school environment.
The Role
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Support children with Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH and speech, language and communication needs
- Assist the class teacher with classroom activities and lesson delivery
- Encourage positive behaviour, independence and social development
- Adapt learning activities to meet individual pupils’ needs
- Help create a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience supporting children with SEN in a school or similar setting
- A patient, proactive and nurturing approach
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills
- A genuine passion for supporting children’s development
- A relevant qualification, such as CACHE Level 2 or Level 3, is desirable but not essential
