We have a very exciting Unqualified SEN Teaching Assistant role that would be well suited to someone who is enthusiastic, caring, and driven to further their career in education. This rewarding role provides an excellent opportunity to showcase your skills through 1:1 support with students who have additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and behavioural needs.
If you are interested in supporting SEN children, particularly those with Autism and Speech and Language needs, then this role could be an excellent fit for you. The school is looking for a Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to an autistic child in a Year 4 class.
The school’s senior leadership team is supportive and approachable, and they have worked hard to create a welcoming environment where both pupils and staff are encouraged to grow and develop.
Duties Include:
- Preparing the classroom for lessons, including setting up equipment and resources.
- Supporting the teacher with the delivery of lessons.
- Managing behaviour and encouraging students to engage with their learning.
- Providing 1:1 and small-group support, both inside and outside the classroom.
- Supporting pupils with their individual learning and development needs.
- Working closely with the class teacher and wider school team.
- Remaining committed to supporting both the teacher and pupils to succeed.
