Ortus Recruitment is working with a welcoming primary school in Acton seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about helping children develop academically, socially and emotionally in a supportive school environment.
The Role
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs.
- Support children with ASC, ADHD, SLCN and SEMH needs.
- Assist the class teacher with classroom activities and learning.
- Encourage positive behaviour, independence and emotional development.
- Create a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience supporting children with SEN.
- A patient, caring and proactive approach.
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
- A genuine passion for supporting children’s development.
- A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential.
