Location: Southall, West London
Pay: £93–£105 per day
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm
Contract: Full-time, term-time
About the Role
We are seeking a caring, patient and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Southall. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and helping them reach their full potential.
You will work closely with class teachers and the SEN team to provide tailored support for pupils across the primary age range.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with additional needs.
- Support children with Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH and speech and language difficulties.
- Assist with classroom activities and help pupils access the curriculum.
- Promote positive behaviour, independence and social development.
- Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is desirable.
- A patient, empathetic and proactive approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
