We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Acton. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with children and wants to gain valuable experience supporting pupils with additional needs.
About the Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside experienced teachers and the school’s SEN team to provide tailored support to pupils with a range of additional needs.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing one-to-one and small-group support to pupils with SEN
- Supporting pupils with their academic, social and emotional development
- Assisting teachers with classroom activities and learning tasks
- Helping pupils develop confidence, independence and communication skills
- Supporting children with behavioural and emotional needs
- Creating a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment
- Following individual support and learning plans
- Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and other professionals
About You
The ideal candidate will be:

- Passionate about supporting children with additional needs
Previous experience working with children with SEN is desirable but not essential. The school is happy to consider candidates with transferable experience and a genuine passion for supporting young people.
