Classroom Assistant | Brixton | £93–£110 PAYE | Full Time | November Start
Ortus Recruitment are seeking an experienced Classroom Assistant based in the Brixton area to support a KS2 class in our partnered primary school. The school is a mainstream primary school situated in a vibrant area with excellent transport links.
The successful candidate will have experience working with children on a one-to-one basis or in small groups. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds; if you are a recent graduate looking to gain experience within a primary school setting, look no further!

Requirements:
- Graduate in a core subject, such as Maths, English, Science, Psychology or Drama.
- Experience working with children in a professional environment.
- Experience working with pupils with special educational needs (SEN) is desirable but not essential.
- Ability to develop positive relationships with pupils and colleagues.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Ability to remain calm and objective when faced with unusual or challenging behaviour.
Please note: We welcome applicants with degrees in other subjects, as well as relevant qualifications for working with children.
