Behaviour Mentor | Immediate Start | £93 – £110 PAYE | Full Time | Kennington (Lambeth Borough)
Ortus Recruitment is currently looking for a Behaviour Mentor to support our client behaviour school based in Kennington, which caters for pupils aged 5–17 years old.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and passionate individual to join a team of professionals dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of young people. Candidates who apply will need to be available immediately, as the school is interviewing and looking to appoint a permanent Behaviour Mentor.
Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support to pupils with challenging behaviour, helping them to manage their emotions and develop coping strategies.
- Implement and deliver intervention programmes to support positive behaviour management.
- Work closely with the school’s Behaviour Manager and other professionals to develop and implement behaviour plans for individual pupils.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of pupil progress and behaviour.
- Communicate effectively with pupils, parents, and staff members to ensure a collaborative and supportive approach to behaviour management.
Requirements:
- Experience working with young people with challenging behaviour in a school or similar setting.
- Understanding of positive behaviour management strategies and techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Resilience and the ability to work in a challenging environment.
- Relevant qualifications in education or psychology would be an advantage.
