A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Japanese-speaking Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a welcoming primary school based in Ealing Broadway.
The school is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic TA to provide classroom support to pupils, with a particular focus on Japanese language support and translation where required.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
- Is fluent in Japanese and English, with the ability to translate effectively between both languages
- Has experience working with children, ideally within a primary school setting
- Is passionate about supporting children’s learning and development
- Can build positive relationships with pupils, teachers, and parents
- Is patient, approachable, and adaptable
- Can provide effective one-to-one and small-group support
- Has a good understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries
- Holds, or is willing to obtain, an enhanced DBS check
The Role
As a Japanese-speaking Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support pupils in the classroom and during school activities
- Provide Japanese–English translation and communication support where needed
- Work closely with teachers to help pupils access the curriculum
- Provide one-to-one and small-group assistance
- Help create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
- Encourage pupils’ confidence, engagement, and independence
