An excellent opportunity is available for a dedicated and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and high-performing early years team in Wandsworth. The successful candidate will support children aged 3–4 years, helping them develop socially, emotionally and academically within a stimulating and nurturing learning environment.
We are seeking a passionate individual who holds a minimum Level 2 childcare qualification or equivalent and has previous experience working within an early years setting. You should be confident working as part of a team, adaptable to the demands of school life and committed to creating positive learning experiences that enable every child to thrive.
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold a recognised Level 2 childcare qualification or higher.
- Have previous experience working with children in an EYFS or early years setting.
- Be enthusiastic, caring and passionate about supporting young children’s development.
- Have high expectations for children’s learning, behaviour and progress.
- Communicate confidently and professionally with children, colleagues, parents and carers.
- Be creative and proactive when supporting activities and learning opportunities.
- Encourage children to participate, explore and develop their confidence.
- Work effectively as part of a supportive and collaborative team.
- Demonstrate a genuine commitment to children’s wellbeing, safeguarding and development.
- Be reliable, adaptable and willing to contribute positively to the wider school community.
